“Death by Complex/GTOH”

 

Rules: (Rx/Scaled)

1.  Athletes will begin the workout with 30 seconds to complete as many OHS as possible (135/65) (95/55 scaled/masters).  The OHS will be used as a tiebreaker.

 

2.  After the OHS tiebreaker is performed there will be a 10 second transition to the first bar of the complex.  Athletes will receive 30 seconds at each bar to complete the complex w/ a 10 second transition before attempting the next weight.  The complex will consist of 1 snatch and 2 OHS.  The complex must be performed without putting the bar down.  Full, power, and split snatch is acceptable.  “Press outs” are also acceptable.  If an athlete chooses to perform a full snatch at any given weight, he/she still MUST COMPLETE an additional 2 OHS.  For the OHS, the hip crease must pass below the knee with full hips, knees, and elbows, fully extended for a repetition to be complete.

 

Scoring:  Max weight of complex with .01# added for each tiebreaker rep.

 

Male Weight:   105-115-125-135-145-155-165-175-185-195-205-215-225-235-245-255-265-275 (Scaled/masters weights in bold/italics)

Female Weight:  65-75-85-95-105-115-125-135-145-155-165-175-185-195-205

Rules (Titan):

1.  Athletes will begin the workout with 30 seconds to complete as many front squats as possible (185/115).  The front squat will be used as a tiebreaker.  Athletes will get .01# added to their max complex weight.  For the front squat, the hip crease must pass below the knee with full hip/knee extension for a repetition to be complete.

 

2.  After the front squat tiebreaker is performed there will be a 10 second transition to the first bar.  Athletes will receive 30 seconds at each bar to complete one rep of GTOH w/ a 10 second transition before attempting the next weight.  The athlete may attempt the weight as many times as possible within the 30 sec. period. The athlete must get a “down” or “good” signal from their judge before dropping the bar.  The athlete may get the bar overhead in any manner.
